This website is not only a modern day business card highlighting my services, specialties, office hours, charges, and other pertinent practice information, it is intended to be a helpful and practical educational resource for those seeking information for their own empowerment and growth.
The navigational guide to the right will hopefully help you find the information you seek. A number of original articles on individual and family dynamics of addiction and recovery, mental health, recovery skills development, marital/relationship issues, and communication skills development are posted on this site. To read the articles in each section, just keep scrolling down until you find what you are interested in. There is also an "Ask Peggy" column where you can ask me a question about these topics and other related topics. The "Links" page has excellent additional resources. The "Recommended Readings" page provides you with recommendations for additional information and can connect you to Amazon.com to purchase recommended book. "Helpful Forms and Informaiton" not only has forms pertinent to working with me in counseling, but also has excellent pamphets and booklets in PDF format that have been published by others (e.g. SAMHSA, NIDA, NIMH, etc.). This website is constantly being updated.

Counseling Services
You may be experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or inability to find happiness. You may be having problems with addiction or substance abuse. Or you may be a concerned family member of someone addicted to alcohol and/or other drugs. You might even be unhappy and frustrated in your marriage or other relationships. If you are having any of the above issues or problems in your life, chances are, that you have come to the right place.
My approaches to mental health, marriage/family, and substance abuse counseling are practical, interactive, and solution-focused. I provide support, practical feedback and guidance to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. Together, we will find solutions to your challenges and psychological/emotional issues.
Utilizing several theoretical frameworks and approaches, I press into service the most appropriate styles and techniques to assist you, as an individual, in ways most helpful to you. We will work to build on your strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
In our initial session, you and I together, identify the problems, issues, or symptoms that may be troubling you. We will also identify your strengths and skills, then develop a formal plan of action to tackle those problems. Our plan of action serves as a blueprint to accomplish your goals.
